This group of controls includes all Honeywell’s most popular legacy (older and proven) controls. Most have been around for plus years and continue to be. Find the information and literature you need on specific products quickly and easily from the most up-to-date documentation for Honeywell Security products. Does anyone have a PDF on the operation or “logic” of this control? I know it has a built in load limit if the water temp is too high and low.

Trane CNT 04654 Honeywell W 7900 a 1014 Reciprocating Chiller Control

Been on some Mountain Biking, and 4Runner fourms for awhile. Anyway I do service work around the So Cal LA and Orange County area.

Mostly in food honehwell and production facilities, and Hospital’s. Friday afternoon I got a service call on a Trane Chiller, wont start. Here is the Model After some time working on it I have found that the Leaving temp sensor is good After reseting the unit the start mode light comes on for a time then it gose straight to LTC lock out.

After some research it appears that this can also be caused by the w77900 relay board 1U Or by a bad ground. I don’t have and have not come up with the trane test tool TOL To properly test the controler.

Any help would be appreciated. Oh yes this is the Honeywell W controler. WarrenJun 7, Is that leaving fluid setpoint correct?

Texas-TechJun 7, Damn that’s awful high for chill water. That was my thought. This is the first time I’ve worked on this unit and the in house teach says that is the way they honeywelll it. They even had the controler marked at 60F and the Leaving water thermometer marked at 55F.

Low temp safety circuit is open. The Peoples Republic of New Jersey.

BustawrenchJun 7, Thank you all for listening! I now have a better plan of attack for tomorrow morning.

Some times I just need to talk about the problem to turn on the light. If the 1uk29 contact is open then its likely the relay board not the controler. Or maybe even the 1f10 fues for the 1u13 relay board. You must log in or sign up to reply here. Your hkneywell or email address: Do you already have an account?
